Under a new government scheme in France designed to reduce emissions, from 31st March 2017 it will be mandatory for any non-French registered vehicles to display an emissions sticker setting out how much the vehicle pollutes.

Any driver who fails to display the appropriate "CRIT" Air Sticker - which can be ordered on-line at www.certificate-air.gouv.fr - on a relevant vehicle whilst driving in France will be fined up to £117.00 (135.00 Euros).

The same scheme is also introducing a new provision that vehicles manufactured before 1997 will be banned from the city of Paris between the hours of 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday.
