Roland Pelly has specialised in advising and representing transport operators for over 25 years.

Specialities in this area include full legal compliance health checks into every aspect of running a passenger transport or road haulage vehicle business, provision of all necessary contracts and handbooks, advising on and assisting with  response to shortcomings letters or assurances letters, all necessary advice on health and safety issues, representation of operators, their staff and drivers in connection with all prosecutions, including attendance at interviews under caution and all necessary representation and pre-interview advice.  Representation of operators at Public Inquiries and appeals to the Transport Tribunal.

He has lectured extensively and written articles for Croners and Transport publications

Having spent 10 years specialising in litigation, Richard joined his father, Roland Pelly in August 2007.

Richard acts for transport operators and drivers across the passenger transport and road haulage industry providing advice and representation on operator licensing, regulatory compliance, operator health checks, public inquiries and criminal prosecutions.

He holds Certificates of Professional Competence in National and International Passenger Transport and Road Haulage Operations and has passed the City & Guilds Certificated exam in Digital Drivers’ Hours Recording Equipment – Technology, Legislation and Recording Equipment Systems.

Richard writes for Croner’s Road Transport and, Coach and Bus Briefings and is a member of the Institute of Transport Administration.
